Why no per-seat pricing?: Per-seat pricing punishes you for hiring. The morning kennel tech, the afternoon groomer, the weekend trainer — they all need the same software. Charging per seat means you ration logins, share accounts, and lose the audit trail. TailRoster bills by active pets in the trailing 90 days, which is a number that actually tracks how big your business is.
What about my transaction volume?: Stripe charges 2.9% + $0.30. We add nothing on top. A facility doing $40,000/month in card volume pays Stripe roughly $1,160 in processing — and zero of that comes to us. Gingr's markup on the same volume runs $160 to $240 a month, every month, on top of their subscription.
Can I switch tiers as I grow?: Yes. Upgrades take effect immediately and are prorated to the day. Downgrades take effect at the next billing cycle so you keep your AI token allowance through the period you already paid for. No re-onboarding, no data export, no friction.
Annual discount?: Two months free when you pay annually. That applies to Sit, Stay, and Heel. Pack is quoted per location and the annual discount is baked into the contract.
What's the contract?: Month-to-month on Sit, Stay, and Heel. Cancel any time from the billing screen — no email-the-rep ritual. Pack is a one-year minimum because we assign a dedicated success manager and onboard multiple locations.
